Luci White enjoys an active career as a teacher and performer of both violin and viola. She is currently a member of the Greensboro Symphony. Ms. White has also played with the North Carolina Symphony, Winston-Salem Symphony, Salisbury Symphony, and Union Avenue Opera.
Ms. White teaches students of all ages to play the violin and viola. She is a registered member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas, and has completed teacher training through Book 10 with many notable teachers such as Doris Preucil, Ronda Cole, Ann Montzka-Smelser, Edmund Sprunger, Michele George, Teri Einfeldt, and Linda Stieg. Ms. White holds a Bachelor's of Violin Performance from Northwestern University, where she studied with Almita and Roland Vamos. Her early teachers include Elisa Barston, Joseph Kaminsky, and Celina Boldrey. Because of her belief in the importance of continuing her own education, Ms. White regularly attends teacher training courses and observes master teachers every summer at Suzuki Institutes around the country such as the Chicago Suzuki Institute, the American Suzuki Institute, and the Greater Washington Suzuki Institute. |
